The Yacuy mate brand is produced by the Brazilian company Yerba Mate Yacuy Industry. The company was founded in 1992 and, despite its youth, was able to break into the competitive market of mate manufacturers thanks to the excellent quality of products and good service.
Yerba plantations located in the basin of the Iguacu River - the largest area in the state of Parana, occupied by dense protected forests. The company produces more than 50% of the yerba on its plantations, and purchases the rest from local farmers.
Yacuy Industry packaging line is equipped with ultra-modern Belgian and German equipment,allowing to pump neutral gas into packages with mate for better preservation of yerba. The company produces about 8 million tonnes of yerba per year. Mate is supplied to the Brazilian market and also exported to Argentina, Chile, Spain, USA, Uruguay and Paraguay.
